The workshop on “Awareness on How to Prepare Subject-Specific Course Specifications” was successfully held on 04 July 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was organized by the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) with the objective of strengthening curriculum development practices and ensuring alignment with quality assurance standards in higher education.
The workshop was conducted by Senior Lecturer Dr. (Mrs.) D. A. U. D. Dewasinghe of the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
The session focused on guiding academic staff in the preparation of subject-specific course specifications, emphasizing learning outcomes, assessment strategies, course content structuring, and alignment with national quality frameworks. Participants were introduced to best practices in curriculum design, documentation standards, and outcome-based education principles.
The workshop significantly contributed to enhancing academic quality, ensuring consistency in course planning, and strengthening institutional compliance with higher education standards.
