Special Lecture on Managing Academic Profiles on Scientific Social Network (2nd programme)

The workshop on “Managing Academic Profiles on Scientific Social Network” organized by the Staff Development Center (SDC) of the BUSL, was successfully held on 11th September 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the University. The workshop was conducted by the resource person, Dr, S.K. Ilangarathne, the Librarian of the BUSL.
The primary objectives of the workshop were to educate the academic staff on the importance of maintaining an updated and accurate academic profile on scientific networks, to provide practical guidance on creating and managing profiles on popular scientific networks such as ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and ORCID, and to demonstrate best practices for increasing the visibility and impact of academic work through academic social profile management.
