“Guru Tharuvata Perehuruvak” (ගුරු තරුවට පෙරහුරුවක්) – Leadership Development Workshop

“Guru Tharuvata Perehuruvak” (ගුරු තරුවට පෙරහුරුවක්) – Leadership Development Workshop, organized by the Department of Social Sciences and Comparative Studies was successfully held on 26th June 2025 at the Auditorium, Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies. The workshop was held congruent with the Annual Action Plan 2025 and with the intention of understanding the teaching profession and its broader responsibilities.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. K. B. Anura Ranjith Kumara, Assistant Centre Manager of the Psychosocial Intervention and Counselling Unit at the Provincial Department of Education, North Central Province.

This leadership development workshop was specifically organized for undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education Degree Program, studying Education Science and other related subjects at the University. In addition, the workshop focused on cultivation competencies such as leadership, co-curricular, and extracurricular skills, which are essential for future educators operating within evolving educational environments.
