Fifth Training Programme on Public Procurement Procedure

In accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2024, the fifth training programme titled “Public Procurement Procedure” was successfully conducted on 26 September 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.

The programme was organized by the Establishment Division with the objective of enhancing the quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of the University’s non-academic staff.

The training session was conducted by Mr. S. S. S. Wijesinghe, Assistant Registrar of the University. The programme focused on the fundamental principles and procedures governing public procurement within a university and public sector framework.

Participants were guided on procurement planning, tender procedures, evaluation processes, documentation requirements, and adherence to regulatory standards. Emphasis was placed on transparency, accountability, and ensuring value for money in institutional procurement activities.

The programme significantly contributed to strengthening administrative competence and promoting sound governance practices within the University.
