Workshop on “AI Tools and Techniques for Smart Academic Writing”
A special workshop on “AI Tools and Techniques for Smart Academic Writing” organized by the Staff Development Center (SDC) with the aim of fostering continuous professional growth among the academic staff and executive officers was successfully held on 19.03.2025 in the Auditorium of Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies. The workshop was conducted by Dr. K.A.S.H. Kulathilake, Head, Department of Computing, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka
The objectives of the workshop:
- Introduce the latest AI tools, such as ChatGPT, and their applications in higher education.
- Equip faculty members with practical skills to integrate AI into their teaching methodologies and research processes.
- Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of academic practices through AI-driven solutions.
- Provide knowledge and hands-on practice in crafting effective prompt messages for AI tools.
Foster discussions on the ethical and responsible use of AI within an academic context.
