Workshop on Preparation of Graduate Profile and Programme Learning Outcomes for Study Programmes

The workshop on “Preparation of Graduate Profile and Programme Learning Outcomes for Study Programmes” was successfully held on 26 June 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.

The programme was organized by the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) with the objective of strengthening academic programme design and aligning study programmes with national quality standards.

The workshop was conducted by Senior Lecturer Dr. (Mrs.) D. A. U. D. Dewasinghe of the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.

The session focused on developing comprehensive Graduate Profiles and clearly defined Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs) in accordance with outcome-based education principles. Participants were guided on aligning programme objectives with institutional goals, stakeholder expectations, and national qualification frameworks.

Emphasis was placed on ensuring coherence between learning outcomes, curriculum structure, assessment methods, and graduate attributes. The workshop significantly contributed to enhancing academic quality, transparency, and consistency across study programmes within the University.
