The Monthly Research Sessions, organized by the Staff Development Center (SDC), were successfully held on 03 December 2024 in the Board Room of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was conducted as part of the University’s staff development initiatives aimed at enhancing professional growth, strengthening research capabilities, and improving pedagogical skills of academic staff, while fostering a collaborative environment of knowledge sharing and intellectual exchange.
Objectives of the Monthly Research Sessions
The Extended Abstracts collected in line with the Monthly Research Sessions are intended to:
Provide a structured platform for academic staff to develop and refine their research skills through regular presentations, discussions, and workshops.
Encourage continuous professional development by exposing staff to current research trends, methodologies, and best practices.
Support the enhancement of teaching practices by integrating research findings and innovative methodologies into the curriculum.
Create opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and intellectual exchange among academic staff.
Promote the dissemination of research findings within the University community, contributing to overall academic excellence.
During the December 2024 session, research papers were presented by the following academic members:

The session concluded with scholarly discussions and constructive feedback, further strengthening the research culture and academic collaboration within the University.
