In accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2025, a workshop titled “Responsibility and Role of Management Assistants in Transport Management” was successfully conducted on 29 April 2025 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was organized by the Establishment Division with the objective of enhancing the quality, efficiency, and professional competence of the University’s non-academic staff.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. R. M. K. Jayathilaka, Deputy Registrar (Administration) of the University. The session focused on the administrative responsibilities, regulatory frameworks, coordination mechanisms, and accountability standards associated with transport management within a public university setting.
Participants were guided on best practices in vehicle allocation, documentation procedures, maintenance coordination, cost efficiency, and adherence to institutional regulations. The interactive nature of the workshop allowed management assistants to clarify procedural matters and strengthen their understanding of their critical role in ensuring smooth transport operations.
The programme contributed significantly to promoting administrative accountability, operational effectiveness, and professional development within the University.
