The Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a number of academic and non-academic vacancies at the University.

Academic vacancies are available in the Department of Buddhist and Pali Studies and the Department of Social Sciences and Comparative Studies, including opportunities in Pali, Library and Information Science, and Philosophy. The advertised academic positions include Senior Lecturer Grade I, Senior Lecturer Grade II, Lecturer (Unconfirmed), and Lecturer (Probationary).

Non-academic vacancies are also available for several positions, including Audit Assistant Grade II, Management Assistant Grade III, Driver Grade III, Caretaker cum Cook Grade III, Library Attendant Grade III, and Works Aide Grade III.

Only Buddhist monks are eligible to apply for the advertised academic positions, while the non-academic vacancies are open to eligible lay applicants. Applicants should carefully review the relevant qualifications, age limits, salary scales, selection procedures, and other conditions specified in the official vacancy notice.

Prescribed application forms and related information may be obtained from the Assistant Registrar (Establishments) or downloaded from the University website. Applications should be submitted under registered post and must reach the University on or before 02 September 2026. Application forms requested by post should be obtained on or before 20 August 2026.
