Mr. Pradeep Gunathilake, Senior Assistant Registrar of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka received the Government Service Appreciation Award in appreciation of his commendable service as a government servant at the ceremony organized by the "Hasuna Foundation" to appreciate the great services of teachers, government servants and civil activists in concurrent with the World Teachers Day 2023.

His long-standing government service was appreciated for his commitment to maintaining professional integrity, meeting service expectations, demonstrating human qualities, adhering to legal and ethical standards, effectively managing resources, employing strategic approaches to foster positive employee-employer relationships, and contributing to the growth of the institution and personal character for the benefit of all.

The ceremony was presided over by the Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwara Kalaviya Ven, Pallegama Hemarathana Nayaka Thera, the Chief of Atamasthana. It was also attended by the Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka Ven. Eethalawetunuwewe Gnanathilaka Nayaka Thera, the Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanweli Maha Seya Temple and Chief Sanghanayaka of Uthuru-Madhyama Dedisava, Dr. Ven. Kadawathgma Piyarathana Nayaka Thera, Dean, Faculty of Buddhist Studies, Bhiksu University of Sri Lankan and Prof. G.A. Sanjeewanie Ginigaddara, the Vice Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
