The Department of Languages founded a Department Fund on 11th of January 2024 with the approval of the Senate and the Finance Committee of the University for facilitating the academic and other departmental activities. The opening was marked by depositing money with the contribution of Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Thero, Ven. Parawahera Chandarathana Thero, Ven. Etalawetunuwewe Gnanathilaka Nayaka Thero, Ven. Nivitigala Sumitta Thero, Ven. Thawalama Dhammika Thero & Ven. Kurunegoda Piyatissa Nayaka Thero Trust. The Department development Fund was officially introduced according to a concept of Ven. Baladora Indrajothi, the Head of the Department of Languages.
