The Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka successfully held the Inauguration Ceremony to welcome its 2023/2024 student intake on 22 April 2025 at the University premises. The event marked the formal commencement of the academic journey for the newly enrolled students and set a vibrant and inspiring tone for the year ahead.

The ceremony was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Ven. Senior Professor Kanattegoda Saddharatana Anunayaka Thero, who attended as the Chief Guest. The occasion was attended by newly enrolled student monks together with their guardian monks and parents, symbolizing the beginning of a significant chapter in their academic and spiritual lives.

Deans of Faculties, members of the academic and administrative staff, and other distinguished university officials were also present, extending their guidance and blessings to the incoming cohort.

Following the inauguration ceremony, an orientation programme was conducted from 22 to 26 April 2025 prior to the commencement of first-year academic activities. The programme, delivered by university resource persons, introduced students to academic regulations, codes of conduct, institutional values, and expectations for their studies.

The orientation sessions aimed to ensure a smooth transition into university life while fostering discipline, responsibility, and academic commitment among the new entrants.
