The “Guru Tharuwata Perahuruvak” (ගුරු තරුවට පෙරහුරුවක්) – Communication and Leadership Skills Development Workshop for Effective Teacher Leadership was successfully held on 25th August 2026. The workshop was organized by the Department of Social Sciences and Comparative Studies in accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2026, with the aim of enhancing effective interpersonal communication skills, developing team leadership and decision-making capabilities, and building personal confidence and personality among student monks.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. K. B. Anura Ranjith Kumara, Assistant Centre Manager of the Psychosocial Intervention and Counselling Unit, Provincial Department of Education, North Central Province, and coordinated by Ven. Madugalle Sudaththa, Coordinator of the Bachelor of Education Honours in Buddhist Studies Degree Programme.
