Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka is pleased to announce the appointment of Senior Lecturer Ven. Thimbiriwewa Sirisumana as the Head of the Department of Languages, with effect from 05th December 2024, for a tenure of three (03) years.

Ven. Thimbiriwewa Sirisumana has made valuable contributions to the University through his dedication to teaching, research, and academic development within the field of language and cultural studies. His appointment reflects the confidence placed in his scholarly expertise, leadership qualities, and commitment to advancing the academic mission of the Department.

As Head of the Department, he will provide academic and administrative leadership, oversee curriculum development, strengthen research initiatives, and enhance student engagement in language studies. His guidance is expected to further elevate the Department’s contribution to the Faculty and the University at large.
