Assumption of Duties of the Registrar

Mr. S. Aruna Indika Somarathna assumed duties as the Registrar of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, with effect from 05th February 2026.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Somarathna served as a Deputy Registrar at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, where he gained extensive experience in University administration and statutory procedures. His expertise is expected to contribute positively to the effective administration and governance of the University.

The assumption of duties took place at the University in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, members of the academic staff, and administrative officers.

The University community extends its congratulations to Mr. S. Aruna Indika Somarathna and wishes him every success in the discharge of his duties as Registrar.
