The Annual Diploma and Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses (UPEDEC) was successfully held on 27 March 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
Certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed the following programmes conducted by UPEDEC:
Diploma in English
Diploma in Tamil
Advanced Certificate in English
Advanced Certificate in Astrology
Certificate in Information and Communication Technology
The ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Ven. Senior Professor Kanattegoda Saddharatana Anunayaka Thero, and the Director of UPEDEC, Chair Professor Ven. Kanangamuwe Rahula Thero, who delivered exhortation speeches. They congratulated the awardees and emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, professional development, and social responsibility.
The event was attended by members of the Academic and Executive Staff of the University, students, parents, and well-wishers, creating a dignified and celebratory atmosphere.
