A workshop on “Principles of Good Governance” was successfully conducted on 29 September 2025 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was organized by the Establishment Division in accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2025, with the objective of enhancing the quality, accountability, and operational efficiency of the University’s non-academic staff.
The workshop was conducted by Mrs. G. K. C. S. Godakanda, Deputy Registrar of the University. The session focused on the fundamental principles of good governance, including transparency, accountability, integrity, responsibility, and effective public service delivery within a higher education institution.
Participants were guided on best administrative practices, ethical decision-making, and the importance of maintaining professional standards in university administration. The interactive discussions enabled staff members to better understand their roles in promoting institutional excellence and public trust.
The programme significantly contributed to strengthening governance practices and fostering a culture of professionalism and responsibility within the University.
