In accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2025, a workshop on “New Procurement Guideline” was successfully conducted on 24 March 2025 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.

The programme was organized by the Establishment Division with the objective of enhancing the knowledge and understanding of the procurement process among both academic and non-academic staff members of the University.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Lasantha Gamage, Senior Consultant in Procurement at Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA). He provided a comprehensive overview of the updated procurement guidelines, regulatory requirements, procedural standards, and best practices applicable to public sector institutions.

The session focused on ensuring transparency, accountability, proper documentation, and compliance with national procurement policies. Participants were guided on practical aspects of procurement planning, evaluation procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.

The workshop significantly contributed to strengthening institutional governance and promoting responsible financial and administrative management within the University.
