Two-Day Residential Training Programme for Non-Academic Staff

In alignment with the Annual Action Plan for 2026, the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka successfully organized a comprehensive two-day Residential Training programme for its non-academic staff on 1st and 2nd November 2026, at the Goldi Sands Hotel in Negombo. Designed as a residential workshop, the initiative aimed to strengthen overall institutional performance by cultivating attitude development, self-motivation, personality development, and essential soft skills. Crucially, the training also prioritized employee well-being by equipping staff members with practical tools to manage psychological stress and nurture a positive, resilient mindset.

Throughout the two-day event, participants engaged in a series of dynamic experiential learning activities and team-building exercises. These immersive challenges actively tested and developed their problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and leadership capabilities under collaborative scenarios. By placing equal emphasis on physical endurance, emotional strength, and shared goals, the interactive sessions demonstrated the vital role that mutual trust and teamwork play in fostering a harmonious and highly productive university environment.

The programme was organized under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor, Ven. Snr. Prof. Kanattegoda Sadharatana Anunayaka Thero, with the participation of the Registrar, Mr. S. Aruna Indika Somarathna.

The programme was facilitated by the Director of the Outbound Training Institute in Pilimathalawa, who brought extensive experience in human resource development and experiential coaching. The event concluded on a high note, leaving the non-academic staff energized, refreshed, and strongly aligned to work cohesively toward the university’s goals.
