Research Presentation Sessions for Academic Staff

The Research Presentation Sessions for the academic staff of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka were successfully held on 17 July 2025 in the Board Room of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies.

The programme was organized by the Staff Development Center (SDC) as part of its ongoing staff development initiatives aimed at strengthening research competencies, promoting high-quality academic publications, and fostering a collaborative culture of knowledge sharing within the University.

The session provided a valuable platform for intellectual exchange and scholarly discussion. Two academic staff members presented their research papers during the programme:

  • Ven. Kalalpitiye Sumanasiri, Lecturer (Temporary), Department of Applied Buddhist Studies
    Presentation Title: “Examining Cognitive Psychological Characteristics in the Chapter II of Abhidhammattha-Sangaha”

  • Mr. Ashley Rodney De Silva, Instructor in English Language, Department of Languages
    Presentation Title: “A Study on the Use of Social Media in Education”

The presentations were followed by constructive discussions, allowing participants to engage in critical reflection and academic dialogue. The event significantly contributed to enhancing research capacity and strengthening the scholarly environment of the University.
