Except the newly purchased literature all the books have already been catalogued. The index cards have been inserted in the catalogue cabinet which has been divided into two as Sinhala catalogue and English author catalogue. The details of the book are mentioned in the cards and the readers who seek the location of the book will find this easier for them. The reader will find it useful only when he is aware of the author. Subject index is also being processed at present. That will be helpful in finding a particular book with the readers’ subject knowledge.



The location of the book in the library can be found through the call number. The aforementioned book can be found at the Buddhist literature location of the lending section with the ROH letter order of the Call No. Hence the cataloguing process guides someone to find the details of the required book and its location.
