Who can obtain Library membership?
The following user categories are identified by the Library as eligible for membership or approved use.
Registered students
Undergraduate and postgraduate students registered with the University.
Permanent academic staff
Eligible University academic staff members.
Permanent non-academic staff
Eligible permanent non-academic staff members.
Temporary academic staff
Subject to applicable security-deposit requirements.
Visiting inquirers
Reading use may be permitted under Library conditions.
Special research scholars
Library use may be approved in advance by the Librarian.
How to register.
Students, staff and researchers seeking membership should complete the prescribed application process through the Library.
Obtain the application form
Collect the relevant membership or reader application form from the Library counter.
Complete and submit the form
Internal students should submit the completed reader application together with a valid University Identity Card.
Library approval and card issue
Following approval, eligible applicants receive the applicable Library card or licence and may use services subject to Library regulations.
