The Library of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka serves students, academic staff, researchers and visiting scholars with print collections, reference resources, digital discovery tools and research assistance.
Its academic scope includes Buddhist studies and related disciplines such as Pāli, culture, archaeology, education and broader fields represented in the University’s teaching and research.

A Developing Academic Library

From inherited collections to modern information services.
The Library’s development is connected with the University’s institutional evolution. Resources from the earlier Buddhasravaka Dharmapeetha library came under the University, and the library began developing with modern university-library practices from 1998.
Today, its role extends beyond shelves and circulation to online catalogues, institutional digital resources, Wi-Fi access, research guidance and reference support.
