Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka is pleased to announce the appointment of Ven. Dr. Kadihingala Hemasiri as the Director of the Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses (UPEDEC), with effect from 15th September 2025, for a tenure of three (03) years.

Ven. Dr. Hemasiri has demonstrated outstanding commitment to academic excellence, institutional development, and the advancement of higher education. His extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration positions him well to lead UPEDEC in strengthening postgraduate education, expanding external degree programmes, and enhancing extension and community-oriented academic initiatives.

As Director, he will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to further develop postgraduate studies, promote quality assurance, facilitate academic outreach, and align the Unit’s activities with the University’s broader vision of academic innovation and international engagement.
