Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka is pleased to announce that Ven. Dr. Galwewe Wimalakhanthi has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies, with effect from 24th September 2024, for a further tenure of three (03) years.

Ven. Dr. Galwewe Wimalakhanthi previously served as the 3rd Dean of the Faculty and has provided distinguished academic and administrative leadership during his tenure. His reappointment reflects the confidence placed in his visionary guidance, scholarly contributions, and commitment to advancing the Faculty’s academic excellence and institutional development.

Under his leadership, the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies has strengthened its academic programmes, research initiatives, and national and international academic engagement. His continued stewardship is expected to further enhance the Faculty’s contribution to the University’s strategic growth and global academic presence.
