Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka is pleased to invite applications for the “Vice-Chancellor’s Award – 2026”, which recognizes and honours outstanding contributions to research, scholarly activities, and creative works by the University’s academic staff.
The awards shall be presented under the following two categories:
a. Senior Researcher: Researchers who are aged 40 years or above as of the closing date for applications.
b. Junior Researcher: Researchers who are below 40 years of age as of the closing date for applications.
Terms and Conditions:
1. To be eligible for this award, a candidate must hold a permanent academic staff position with a minimum of three years of active service at the University.
2. The candidate should have maintained accepted norms and ethics of the academic and research field.
3. The candidate must achieve at least the minimum required marks as outlined in the marking scheme. (50 Marks)
4. Once awarded documents shall not be considered for the next award.
Application Procedure:
1. The application must include all necessary documents, including a self-evaluation report (SER) to the guidelines and the required evidence to the Vice Chancellor’s Office through the channel from the Head of the Department and Dean of the Faculty by the deadline specified on this notice.

3. Applicants are kindly requested to read the “Criteria for Vice-Chancellor’s Award” carefully before completing the application form.
Period of Eligibility for the Award: Publications, research grants, creative works, and awards published, approved, or obtained during the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025 will be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Award – 2026 of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
