In accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2024, the sixth training programme titled “Internal Audit and Control Systems” was successfully conducted on 30 October 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was organized by the Establishment Division with the objective of enhancing the quality, efficiency, and accountability of the University’s non-academic staff.
The training session was conducted by Mrs. G. D. Achala Erandi, Assistant Internal Auditor of the University. The programme focused on strengthening internal audit mechanisms, understanding control systems, risk management practices, and ensuring compliance with institutional financial and administrative regulations.
Participants were guided on the importance of transparency, systematic documentation, procedural safeguards, and effective monitoring systems within a public university framework. The interactive discussions enabled staff members to clarify their roles in maintaining sound internal control structures.
The programme significantly contributed to reinforcing institutional governance and promoting responsible administrative practices within the University.
