Library Membership




  • Registered students of the university.
  • Permanent academic staff.
  • Permanent non-academic staff.
  • Temporary academic staff (after a security deposit)
  • Visiting inquirers (only for reading)

Obtaining the Membership from the Library

Aforementioned are eligible for the Library membership.

Students/academics/researchers who wish to apply for the membership of the university library are expected to handover the duty filled application form obtained from the library counter and to get their library license.

All the persons who receive the membership are eligible to get the service of the library and to use library items.

Persons who do not hold the library license are expected to renew their library cards every year. If not their membership will be cancelled. First year students receive a maximum of three library tickets. Second year, third year and fourth year students get four, five and six library tickets respectively.

Registration and receiving library cards

All those who register as internal students of the university are allowed to use the library. Duly filled reader application form should be submitted to the library along with the identity card for registration. Three lending library cards are provided to the first year students while second, third and fourth year students are provided one more additional card in successive year.

It is an offense to give one’s library card to another. The card owner is totally responsible for the books issued on those cards. Every year, within the months of February and March the library cards should be submitted to the circulatory section for renewal. Books are not available for lending without renewing the library cards.

Those who register as postgraduate scholars at the university are also allowed to use the library facilities. Special research scholars can use the library with due permission from the librarian.

Aforementioned are eligible for the Library membership.
