In accordance with the Annual Action Plan 2025, a training programme titled “Leave Policies and Provisions for University Staff” was successfully conducted on 25 September 2025 at the Smart Classroom of the Department of Social Sciences and Comparative Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was organized by the Establishment Division with the objective of enhancing the quality, accuracy, and administrative efficiency of the University’s non-academic staff.
The training session was conducted by Mr. S. S. S. Wijesinghe, Assistant Registrar of the University. The programme provided a comprehensive overview of institutional leave policies, relevant regulations, procedural requirements, and proper documentation practices applicable to university staff.
Participants were guided on different categories of leave, eligibility criteria, approval procedures, and compliance with public administration regulations. The interactive nature of the session enabled staff members to clarify practical concerns and strengthen their understanding of policy implementation.
The programme significantly contributed to promoting consistency, accountability, and procedural transparency in staff administration within the University.
