The bursar holds responsibility for the financial administration of the University under the guidance and direction of the Vice-Chancellor. He is entrusted with the University funds.  As a fulltime officer, he maintains the Mahapola scholarship and other bursary allowances. There is an Assistant Bursar to assist his duties.  The bursar is appointed by the Council as a university officer.
Apart from the University payments, the accounts branch deals with all the activities related to the goods and services.  Students can approach the branch for any related payment. The Mahapola scholarship and bursary allowances can be claimed  through the cashier counter of the accounts branch.
