Appointed by the University Council, the University Librarian oversees the planning and implementation of library policies, ensuring that the library remains a modern and dynamic center of knowledge. The Librarian is responsible for developing and maintaining collections of books, journals, digital resources, manuscripts, and other academic materials that support the diverse academic programs of the University.

The University Librarian also promotes information literacy among students and staff, guiding them in accessing, evaluating, and effectively using information resources. In addition, the Librarian works closely with academic departments to ensure that the library collection continues to meet the evolving needs of teaching, learning, and research.

Through efficient management of library services, digital databases, reading facilities, and research support services, the University Librarian ensures that the University Library remains a vital hub for academic excellence and intellectual development.
