A distinguished delegation comprising executives, academic staff, and students from the Department of Buddhist Studies, Faculty of Buddhism of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Thailand, visited the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka on 6 April 2025.
The purpose of the visit was to observe and study the University’s educational management system, research initiatives, academic services, cultural preservation efforts, and administrative practices. The programme was organized by the Unit of International Affairs under the guidance of the Vice-Chancellor.
During the visit, discussions were held on areas of mutual academic interest, including collaboration in Buddhist studies, research development, student exchange opportunities, and institutional cooperation. The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and strengthening inter-university relations.
The Dean of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies, the Head of the Department of Applied Buddhist Studies, the Coordinator of the Unit of International Affairs, and other academic members participated in the event. Administrative representatives including the Registrar (Attend to the Duties), the Librarian, and the Assistant Registrar (Academic & Student Services) were also present.
This visit marked a significant step in enhancing academic and cultural ties between the two institutions, fostering deeper cooperation in the advancement of Buddhist higher education and international scholarly exchange.
