As part of the Action Plan 2025, a Meditation Programme aimed at enhancing mindfulness in the daily activities of the non-academic staff was successfully conducted on 28 August 2025 at the Meditation Hall of the Library Building of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
The programme was organized by the Department of Applied Buddhist Studies with the objective of promoting mental well-being, emotional balance, and greater awareness in the workplace.
The session was conducted by Ven. Senior Lecturer Balangoda Ananda Chandrakeerthi, Head of the Department of Applied Buddhist Studies. The programme included guided meditation practices and reflections on integrating mindfulness into daily administrative duties and interpersonal interactions.
Participants were encouraged to cultivate calmness, clarity, and focused attention in order to manage workplace stress effectively and foster a harmonious working environment. The initiative highlighted the importance of inner development alongside professional responsibility.
This programme reflects the University’s holistic approach to staff development, emphasizing both administrative efficiency and spiritual well-being.
