Faculty of Buddhist studies is the one of to Faculties of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, objectives of the University are mainly represented by the Faculty. The Faculty is comprised of two departments, the Department of Buddhist & Pali Studies and the Department of Applied Buddhist Studies. the Department of Buddhist & Pali Studies provides the subjects  of Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Civilization and Pali in Sinhala and English medium. Buddhist Philosophy is the compulsory discipline for each and every student of the University. The Department of Applied Buddhist Studies is responsible for applying Buddhist teachings such as meditation and other requisites for Buddhist Monks.
