Center for Quality Assurance​

The Internal Quality Assurance Unit of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka was established in the year 2017,  based on the guidelines stipulated in the University Grants Commission Circular 04/2015. Under the guidelines of the University Grants Commission Circular 09/2019 the Internal Quality Assurance Unit is reestablished as the Centre for Quality Assurance.

To ensure quality, continuous development and efficient performance as a Sri Lankan higher education institution, and to gain the confidence of the community in our graduates in accordance with internationally recognized evaluation mechanism.

I would like to welcome you to the webpage of the Center for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka. The University values the highest academic and professional standards and aims to be an internationally renowned university for the quality of teaching, learning facilities and educational experience presented to students in Theravada Buddhist World.

In this respect, the CQA serves as the central hub for coordinating preparations for both external and internal quality reviews. The CQA plays a crucial role in integrating quality assurance practices within the educational framework, particularly in advancing the University’s mission “to produce versatile Theravada scholars.” By embedding quality dimensions into its activities, the CQA supports the University in achieving this goal. To accomplish this, the CQA has undertaken various initiatives and developed essential documents, including policies, guidelines, and Terms of Reference (TORs), with the support of key stakeholders.
