Unit of International Affairs (UIA) is the responsible section of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka (BUSL) for all foreign affairs and relations. UIA has been established by the University with the aim of fulfilling the objectives of the University Act. Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka is a leading Theravada Buddhist University of South-Asia located in Anuradhapura, the most sacred ancient city and the first capital of Sri Lanka. The prime objective of the University is to propagate Theravada Buddhism and related activities at national and international level. Buddhism is a major world religion praised by intellectuals of the world, and Theravada Buddhism is the oldest Buddhist tradition, the main branch of Buddhist Schools, and also Theravada Buddhism has its own Philosophy, Psychology, Ecology, and Economy etc. BUSL would like to invite oversea students and scholars to pursuit undergraduate or post graduate degree programmes related Buddhist Studies. UIA serves as a facilitator and mediator for the International affairs.
