Monthly Research Presentation Sessions of the Academic Staff
“Monthly Research Sessions” organized by the Staff Development Center (SDC) was successfully held on 03.12.2024 in the Board Room of Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies. It was a part of the staff development initiatives aiming to enhance the professional growth, research capabilities, and pedagogical skills of academic staff of the University while fostering a collaborative environment of knowledge sharing and intellectual exchange.
The primary objectives of the Extended Abstracts collected in line with Monthly Research Sessions are;
- To provide a platform for academic staff to develop and refine their research skills and quality research publications through regular presentations, discussions, and workshops.
- To encourage continuous professional development by exposing staff to the latest research trends, methodologies, and best practices in their respective fields.
- To support the enhancement of teaching practices by integrating research findings and innovative methodologies into the academic curriculum.
- To create opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and intellectual exchange among academic staff members, leading to the generation of new ideas and collaborative research projects.
- To promote the dissemination of research findings within the university community, contributing to the overall academic excellence of the BUSL.
Research papers were presented by three academic members; Dr. S.K. Illangarathne (Librarian), Ven. Walawahengunawewe Mahindarathana (Lecturer), Ven. Habarana Sumedha (Temporary Assistant Lecturer)
