If a member wishes to retain a book beyond\r\n        the permitted time, <strong>prior written approval must be obtained from the\r\n        Librarian<\/strong>. Extensions may be granted only if there are no pending\r\n        requests for the book.\r\n    <\/p>\r\n\r\n    <p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:15px;\">\r\n        Any book retained without proper renewal or authorization will be subject to a\r\n        <strong>daily fine of Rs. 1.00 per book per day<\/strong> until the item is returned\r\n        or regularized.\r\n    <\/p>\r\n\r\n    <h2 style=\"\r\n        font-size:18px;\r\n        color:#222;\r\n        margin-top:25px;\r\n        margin-bottom:10px;\r\n    \">\r\n        Loss of a Lending Book\r\n    <\/h2>\r\n\r\n    <p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:15px;\">\r\n        In the event of the loss of a lending book, the Library must be\r\n        <strong>informed immediately<\/strong> using the prescribed application form.\r\n        If the lost book is not recovered within <strong>two (2) weeks<\/strong> from the\r\n        date of notification, the member shall be required to\r\n        <strong>replace the book with a new copy<\/strong> or\r\n        <strong>pay twice the current price of the book<\/strong>, in addition to a\r\n        <strong>library fine of Rs. 50.00<\/strong>.\r\n    <\/p>\r\n\r\n    <p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:20px;\">\r\n        If the book has been <strong>bound by the Library<\/strong>, the binding cost shall\r\n        also be recovered. The <strong>Library Committee<\/strong> reserves the right to\r\n        determine the final amount of compensation based on the\r\n        <strong>year of publication, rarity, and difficulty of replacement<\/strong>,\r\n        particularly in the case of rare or out-of-print materials.\r\n    <\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fines and Payments Loss of Library Card In the event of the loss of a library card, the concerned member must inform the Librarian in writing without delay.
