The Bhiksu education centre called Buddhasravaka Dharmapeetha was established in 1969 and was re-launched with a new face value on 31.5.1998. All the books of the former Dharmapeetha library were taken into the custody of the university. That library which was under several librarians started developing with the modern scientific features in par with a university library from 1.8.1998.<\/p>

As at present the Buddhasravaka Bhiksu University is being developed as the Bhiksu University of Sri Lank since 7.7.2012 and is engaged in a special mission to promote the education of the local and foreign Buddhist monks. Hence, this brief introduction is aimed at declaring the plan and functioning of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.<\/p>

Nestled within the vibrant academic community of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, our library serves as a beacon of knowledge and scholarship. With a commitment in supporting learning and research, we offer a comprehensive range of resources and services to meet the diverse needs of our students, faculty, and researchers.<\/p>

Our physical library, located centrally at the University in Anuradhapura, provides a serene and conducive environment for study and contemplation. Housing an extensive collection of books, journals, periodicals, and multimedia materials. Our shelves are also filled with resources spanning of various disciplines, from Buddhist studies to Archaeology, education, and beyond.<\/p>

In addition to our physical collection, we offer a wealth of digital resources accessible through our online catalog and digital library platform. Patrons can explore e-books, electronic journals, databases, and other online materials from anywhere with an internet connection, empowering them to engage in research and learning at their convenience.<\/p>

Our virtual library services extend beyond traditional boundaries, catering to the needs of distance learners and remote researchers. Through our website, patrons can access virtual reference assistance, online tutorials, research guides, and other digital resources to support their academic endeavors.<\/p>

Our dedicated library staff are also readily available to assist with inquiries, research guidance, and resource recommendations.<\/p>
