The Library of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura, successfully conducted its Third Human Library Programme on 08 November 2024, continuing its initiative to promote experiential learning and personal development through real-life knowledge sharing.
The programme featured Dr. Niyangoda Dharmakirthi Sri Sangharakshita Vijithasiri Anunayaka Thero, Chancellor of the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, as the Resource Person. He is a highly respected scholar and religious leader honoured with the titles Sahitya Chakravarthy and Aggamaha Saddhamma Jothikadhaja, and serves as the Anunayake Thero of the Malwatta Maha Vihara Chapter of the Maha Viharavansika Sayamopali Maha Nikaya.
Drawing from his extensive life experience, academic journey, and spiritual leadership, the Resource Person shared valuable insights on life philosophy, education, discipline, and overcoming challenges. His reflections provided meaningful guidance and inspiration to students and participants.
In keeping with the Human Library concept, the programme encouraged open dialogue and reflective interaction, allowing participants to engage directly with lived experiences in a thoughtful and enriching environment.
The programme was conducted and managed by Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Mahakachchakodiye Pangngasekara Thero, who effectively facilitated the discussion and interaction, ensuring a well-structured and engaging session.
This third programme further emphasized the university library’s commitment to extending learning beyond traditional academic resources by fostering knowledge sharing through personal narratives and real-life experiences. Participants highly appreciated the programme, describing it as insightful, inspiring, and intellectually enriching.
