Human Library Programme Successfully Held at Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka

The Library of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura, successfully conducted a Human Library Programme on 25 October 2023, with the aim of promoting experiential learning and personal development among students.

The programme featured Senior Prof. Ven. Kanaththegoda Sadhdharathana Anunayaka Thero, Vice Chancellor of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, as the Resource Person. Drawing from his personal and academic journey, he shared valuable insights into his childhood experiences, educational pathways, and life challenges, offering inspiration and practical guidance to the participants.

The session highlighted key aspects of life philosophy, the value of education, and strategies for overcoming challenges. Through open dialogue and reflective discussion, students were able to engage directly with real-life experiences, in keeping with the Human Library concept.

The programme was conducted by Senior Lecturer Ven. Kumbugoda Are Pagngnaloka Thero, who facilitated the interaction between the Resource Person and the audience, ensuring an engaging and meaningful session.

This event reaffirmed the university library’s commitment to extending learning beyond traditional academic resources by creating opportunities for knowledge sharing through lived experiences. Participants highly appreciated the programme, describing it as insightful, inspiring, and intellectually enriching.
