Second Human Library Programme Successfully Conducted at Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka

The Library of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura, successfully conducted its Second Human Library Programme on 25 March 2024, continuing its commitment to promoting experiential learning and personal development among students.

The programme featured Maminiyawe Ilangasinghe as the Resource Contributor. A highly respected cultural personality honoured with the titles Kalabhushan, Kalakirthi, and Rajarata Abhimani, she shared inspiring life experiences, emphasizing cultural values, dedication to the arts, resilience, and lifelong learning.

Through the Human Library concept, participants were able to engage directly with lived experiences, fostering open dialogue, reflection, and mutual understanding in an interactive and reflective environment.

The programme was conducted and managed by Senior Lecturer Ven. Kumbugoda Are Pagngnaloka Thero, who effectively facilitated the session and interaction with the audience, ensuring meaningful engagement throughout the programme.

This second programme further highlighted the university library’s role in extending learning beyond traditional academic resources by creating platforms for knowledge sharing through real-life narratives.
