The Library of Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura, successfully conducted its Fourth Human Library Programme on 16 July 2025, continuing its series of experiential learning initiatives aimed at broadening students’ perspectives through real-life knowledge sharing.
The programme featured Venerable Pallegama Sirisumana Revatha Hemarathana Nayaka Thero as the Resource Person. He serves as the Incumbent of the Anuradhapura Atamasthanadhipathi and the Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwara Kalaviya. Drawing from his extensive religious leadership and life experience, he shared valuable insights on life philosophy, ethical values, spiritual discipline, and the role of education in shaping character and society.
In keeping with the Human Library concept, the programme enabled participants to engage directly with lived experiences through open dialogue and reflective discussion, fostering deeper understanding and personal inspiration.
The programme was conducted by Senior Lecturer Ven. Kumbugoda Are Pagngnaloka Thero, who effectively facilitated the session and interaction with the audience, ensuring a meaningful and engaging learning experience.
This fourth programme further highlighted the university library’s commitment to extending learning beyond traditional academic resources by creating platforms for experiential learning and personal development. Participants expressed high appreciation for the programme, describing it as insightful, inspiring, and spiritually enriching.
