The maiden creation, "Awanaduwa" created of Ven. Ethakada Dhammadhaja who is pursuing Buddhist Philosophy (Special) in the fourth year of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, was launched at the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies on 11th September in 2019.
The ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the University Most Ven. Prof. Waradiwela Wijayasumana Nayaka Thera, and the guest speaker was Mr. Mahinda Chandrasekara erudite lyrist, and writer. The ceremony was attended by Deans of the University, Heads of Departments, Lecturers and Non-academic Staff.
