Bachelor of Arts in English

The Bachelor of Arts (Special) in Sanskrit is an advanced academic programme designed to provide in-depth knowledge of Sanskrit language, literature, philosophy, and Vedic studies. The programme offers rigorous training in classical texts, poetic and dramatic traditions, research methodologies, and specialized areas such as Sanskrit Śāstra studies and Indian philosophical systems.

Students engage with epic literature, Vedic texts, Buddhist Sanskrit literature, and modern Sanskrit writings while developing advanced linguistic competence and critical analytical skills. The curriculum also includes research methodology and a dissertation component in the final year, enabling students to conduct independent scholarly research.

This Special Degree programme prepares graduates for higher academic pursuits, research, university teaching, cultural scholarship, and professional engagement in fields related to classical studies and South Asian intellectual traditions.
