A workshop on Archaeological Photography

A workshop on Archaeological Photography for the student monks pursuing studies in Archeology Hons Degree was held on 18th December 2024, by the Department of Social Sciences and Comparative Studies. The resource person was Mr. T. S. T. Ilangasinghe, an expert from the Central Cultural Fund, Jetavana Project, Anuradhapura, who shared his extensive knowledge and experience in archaeological photography. The session focused on techniques for capturing high-quality images of archaeological sites and artifacts, emphasizing proper lighting, composition, and the role of photography in preserving and documenting archaeological findings. Students gained practical skills and insights into using photography effectively in archaeological research and documentation.
