First, as the Director of the Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses, (UPEDEC), I would like to extend best wishes to all students enrolling in our Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses in the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka. The Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses offers three kinds of courses to enhance and enrich Buddhist Studies. The Unit has made significant progress in advancing both teaching and research at MA, MPhil and Ph.D. levels. The Unit guides students to achieve the standards of research. The library of the University enables easy access to a wide range of resource materials for students attached to the Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses. Though currently we enroll local Bhikku Students, we wish to enroll foreign and lay students as well in the year 2020.
