The Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses offers three kinds of courses to enhance and enrich Buddhist Studies. The Unit has made significant progress in advancing both teaching and research at MA, MPhil and Ph.D. levels. The Unit guides students to achieve the standards of research. The library of the University enables easy access to a wide range of resource materials for students attached to the Unit of Postgraduate, External Degrees and Extension Courses. Though currently we enroll local Bhikku Students, we wish to enroll foreign and lay students as well in the year 2020.

In addition to the postgraduate studies, we offer Bachelor of Arts (General) Degrees and Extension courses such as Diploma in Buddhist Education, Diploma in English, Diploma in Tamil, Higher Certificate in Astrology, Certificate in English, Certificate in Tamil and Certificate in Information and Communication Technology for both Bhikku and lay students.
