New Trends in Buddhist Psychology and Counselling



As per the proposal of the University Action Plan 2019, a special lecture on "New Trends in Buddhist Psychology and Counselling" was organized by the Department of Practical Buddhist Studies on 03rd April 2019, from 04.30 to 07.30 p.m at the auditorium of Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies. The objective of the event was to improve the knowledge and awareness of student monks on the particular field. Around 150 student monks, including students of Buddhist Psychology and Cousnelling and other subjects, participated in the event. The lecture was conducted by Prof. Wasantha Priyadarshana from Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelanya, and co-ordinated by Ven. Welipitiye Pagngnarathana and Ven. Gomila Gunalankara, lecturers in Buddhist Psychology and Counselling, Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura.
