The inaugural batch of students for the academic year 2019/2020 was welcomed by the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka. The welcome ceremony was held on 15th March 2021. The University recruited 120 new student monks for the academic year 2019-2020. Acting-vice chancellor, the academic staff and the officials of the University participated in the event. Commencement of the new academic year was delayed due to the corona pandemic.
